In order to create a little spice and focus, I have developed (and am still developing) some themes of instruction for the remainder of the year. If you want to do some research, preteaching, or have some resources to share, here are my plans for the future....

5 Green Mountain Hero (Green Mountain Boys, VT history, Catamounts)
12 Leonardo da Vinci (Art, science, inventions)
19 3 branches of government ( a trip to the Vermont State House is in the planning stages)
26 Mountains (erosion, 7 highest peaks...)
Week of February
2 Solids
9 Liquids
16 Gases (states of matter, atoms, molecules)
Week of March
2 Iditarod
9 Iditarod (Alaska, resources, winter, time)
16 Ireland (Land, people, history)
23 Maple sugaring (hopefully visit to a sugar house)
